We have moved again! Yes after two years of looking and one year of renting , We found a house that I think will work out just fine! A great big fixer! These are the before pictures! The way we saw it after the stagers.
So here we are in the Hill Country far away from almost everything that I am use too. We love it , Did I mention We LOVE it! So I want to share the before and in the middle of remodel of my formal living room, now I know no one has a formal living room anymore, but I do I love it. I love to walk into a space and its always clean and well kept. So here is the before, This is what the owners who were not living here at the time called "STAGED". FYI it did nothing to help this house.... Here is what We are in the middle of, We are almost there.
This is the middle of my remodel. So as you can see, the floors have been sanded and refinished and in the living room was the most ugly tile I have ever seen. The tile was ripped out the day after we closed on this house. We painted and proceeded to start with the decorate. The last piece of the remodel is our beautiful fireplace!!! This will be the end result. See you soon...

2014 Starting a New..........
Well once again here I am dropping into blogland , When I first stared this blog I thought I would have the time to share the many projects, new find and tons of everyday things that go on in life, No such luck. I had a good start thanks to all you fabulous ladies out there but then I found myself with little or no time , there was always something else that needed to get done or a child that had to go somewhere or meal that needed finishing you get the picture. Now here we are 2014 I want to try again and hopefully this time I will do a little better. Now that being said , On to new things. First off we have moved to a great town in the hills of Austin ( gateway to the hill country). In the next few weeks I will share our home and many new finds and projects.
So to begin I want to leave you with a couple of pictures of my dinning room in the new house and as you can see the buffet from the old house has been refinished to match my table and yes I even found some old (new) French chairs , I so love these chairs. They are distresses so everything is not too perfect off the showroom floor.
Here you can the mirror and plates I had in the old dinning room Just flipped around not crazy about the lighting but for now it's ok. Oh see the green chair more to come on that in my next post.
Thanks for stopping by
Have a great weekend.

AUCTION..
Well hello blogland, I know I have been gone for a while, So much has happened in the past few months ( I will get to that later). I have had a lot of issues with blogger and not being able to leave comments some times. So to all that I have visited and not left a comment I did try .
Now on to few new finds. About two months ago I discovered an auction house not too far from where I live. Well it was my first time so I dragged the hubby with me, The moment we walked in this caught my eye. Now is this not the most awful thing you have ever seen, The paint was bad the left foot was chipped and the inside shelf was missing. (Now I only have this one before picture. ) But still after all that was wrong with it. Somehow it still spoke to me The shape was gorgeous. I was not sure I would get it after all I had a budget to stay with in and also the fact that the hubby was there he would make sure of that. Well the bidding started at $40 and I kept praying don't go any higher but it did to $50 Ha that was in my Budget. The big surprise was the hubby decided he would purchase it for me. What a sweet guy. ( that's our secret). Here is the chipped leg was not sure How I was going to fix it. This is what it should have looked like. you can see the bad bad Paint job. This was when she was almost finished. See the new shelf and toile Paper. This is a close up of the inside. All finished with old new knobs from the Habitat store. $2.00 for six. Oh yes the leg was repaired by a master carpenter. $ 20.00 The top on this piece turned out to be walnut. Solid walnut worth $400.00 just the Top. So in the end I paid about $60 for a piece worth a lot more and I love it.

Traveling for love....
Will travel for Bunnies.....
I have aways been crazy about this painting. So imagine when I came across it on craigslist. I was so thrilled, I mean the size was geat, the frame would work and best of all it was a great price. The only problem, It was in Austin Tx, I live in Houston. Was I going to let that stop me no way. I contacted the very sweet woman that was selling it and she agreed to hold it for me. It took me two weeks, Then one weekend my wonderful hubby and I went and here they are (bunnies). I love it so much and It's perfect in the dining room. See the cabbage plates, well the bunnies just happen to be eating a leaf of cabbage. Coincidence I think not.

Where am I ?
Well hello blogland, It ' s seems I have been away forever. The truth is we have been so busy with school opening and running here and there, I just had no time for anything extra. Don't get me wrong I still have a ton of projects going on ( kitchen , table , chairs , etc) but no time . The kitchen is coming along, I did not want to rush it because, I wanted a $3,000 venthood without the $3,000. So anyway I am almost there and once I am done I don't want to look back and have any ( I should have done it different or I don't like that.) Just a peek.

New Chairs
New Chairs .....Well I saw these and could not pass them up. The problem being where to put them. I am one of those people that firmly believe if you love it take it home and it will find a place. So I tried it every where and this is where they ended up for now.( wink wink). They are in perfect condition.not a stain or scratch. All wood and I love the cane. As you see all my stuff from the kitchen is in my dining room. (kitchen still being worked on.)
Thanks for stopping by.

NOT SO NEW TREASURE.
Ok, well remember when I found a collection of the Johnson brothers OLD BRITIAN CASTLES. It had just the creamer And I just loved it so, I started looking around and was able to find a the teapot (love love love) . My really really really wonderful husband ordered it for me. Now I am on the lookout for the sugar bowl.
This basket of dishes was purchesed at a garage sale for $20 I just loved the red and white . The first time I saw it I was in love but because I only collected blue and white I passed by, The next year however It came home with me . I guess it was ment for me.Here is the very pretty creamer. I love the set and It is all from about the 1930s. Very light weight and delicate. Thanks for stopping by.

Since adding a new table, new paint , chandy, I am still going, I have added some of my green cabbageware platters and plates for a shot of color, But like most of us out there (you know who you are). I really needed storage, But not any old kind, I want a real top of the line country french buffet.( real cheap) I had to wait about 2years but I did it, I finally found her
Here she is, she is gorgeous and so much storage , I will have her refinished to match the table. I want her just a little darker (walnut).
