I have posted on the Laundry Room a while back, but have since found a great set of treasure. Mind you I had to get it wasn't sure where it was going but I knew I would find a spot. I found this set of gorgeous pink and white transferware at an upscale thrift shop ( is there such a thing) anyway there were about 70 pieces. I paid $40 yes for all. I have always collected the blue and white. But when I saw this I knew I had to have it , the pattern is called old Britain Castles by Johnson Brothers. I love the different shapes of the plates and bowles. There are so many pieces I have to find some other spots arounfd the house to display them.
I came up with this patern.

I'm soooooo jealous! I've been looking for red transferware but whenever I see it it is too pricey for me. What a great deal you got and I love the displays.

Wow, what a beautiful laundry room and a terrific find. What a steal for all that transferware. I have wanted a set of red and white transferware for a long time, but it is terribly expensive here. Maybe I will find a sweet deal like yours someday. A girl can dream, can't she. Anyway. I love your display. It's simply gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteOMG, Ann! What a great deal you got on those dishes! I love the way you've displayed them. Love the drapes, too. I have to go back and look at your laundry room post. We are going to be painting ours and fixing it up a bit. Since we downsized to a condo, I'm not used to not having windows in every room and it needs some lightening up.
