New Finds

Things found at local Gw and CL.

First this picture was found at the GW $3.00 no frame

This chair I have had for awhile it was purchased from CL and recoverd for my guest room but that did not work out, my oldest decided he wanted that room and no longer wanted to share with his brother. Why am I showing you this chair. You'll see.

This was the china we had when I was ten years old I got most of it from my mom and purchase the rest from CL ( not for use only decor and to relive my  childhood).price 30 pieces $20

This silver plated teaset   ( Sheridan) was purchased at the Gw for $25.00  I love all the details.
What a pretty handle.

The creamer.
Ok this was the find of the week This frame is 5ftx  4ft, Can you say wowww.The price $20.00

This Chair is my new love I love all chairs but the frenchy ones I love even more  See that was her long lost cousin before, Since they won't be dressed the same.  Don't be fooled by the tattered clothes she wears I have her pictured in some sort of check with nailhead trim. She is solid walnut , Look at her legs (so beautiful) I am on the hunt for a large red and white check fabric. I see the picture and new chair next  to each other when finished. The problem is where .LOL

  1. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the chairs! I am about to do a farmhouse dining room, and am on the look out for two chairs to cover in red checks. I have yet to find the fabric, especially reasonably priced. I have googled, and looked, and googled......I ordered some from fabricdirect.com that looked good online, only to find the checks soooo small that you can barely tell they are checks! Keep me posted on the fabric hunt, and let me know if you find any? Oh, and I love that awesome frame too!

  9. You have found some great deals! I can't believe that huge frame was only $20! The things you could do with that! It would make a great mirror or chalkboard.

  10. Hey Ann...I have to go shopping with you! What great finds. I have to do the CL and GW this spring. I once went to the Salvation Army near me - and bought a desk...and I couldn't pick it up (this was last summer) and I have now lost the ticket. Stupid me - I should have gone back the next day. So - they have $80 of mine. I also did that with one CL - I gave a $100 towards a few things and I couldn't pick it up right away...and I still have to call him to pick stuff up. I hope he still has the three things I wanted.

So - lessons learned - I have to be able to pick it up right away - or else I shouldn't buy it. The CL guy told me I would have to have a strong guy to come back with me (and I would have asked my husband but he is so against me buying anything else...so I have to do it on the sly now!!).

Glad that you are now following me. I am much better at painting and redoing things that already exist in houses!!! Glad you loved my work!!
